Anne & Bacchus invites you to enjoy a gourmet and friendly moment to discover the wines and terroir products in Albi and all around the Tarn department in the Southwest of France.
These wine tasting events are led by Anne Gruau in Albi. She is sommelier and WSET level 4 graduate, an internationally recognised certification that brings advanced knowledge in wine. Anne shares with you her passion for wine, the terroir and the best of the winemakers’ know-how.
Enjoy wine tasting courses and events in a warm atmosphere typical from the Southwest region in France. Everyone can participate to Anne & Bacchus’ wine tasting workshops regardless of their level of expertise. You will learn or improve your wine tasting techniques, become familiar with the aromas of wine, learn more about wine and food pairing, discover the typicity of wines from Gaillac and cheeses, identify different grape varieties and wine styles.
All our Anne & Bacchus’ tasting events are « Vignobles & Découvertes » certified. As a member of the « Club des Ambassadeurs du Vignoble de Gaillac », Anne & Bacchus is committed to ensuring high quality and sharing the best of the Gaillac vineyard with you !
Group or private wine tasting workshops
The group workshops take place in the vaulted brick cellar of the « Bureau d’à Côté » in Albi, a few steps away from the Sainte Cecile Cathedral and the covered market.
Private workshops can also be held there, at your home or at your vacation spot anywhere in the Tarn.

Introduction to wine tasting and aromas
- Understand the vocabulary of wine to talk about it simply
- Master the steps of analytical wine tasting
- Know how to identify the aromas of a wine through a playful animation.
- Learn about the main characteristics of the Gaillac vineyard with the tasting of 4 wines from the appellation.
- Some grissini will accompany the tasting

Wine and cheese pairing workshop
- Learn about the main styles of wines and cheeses
- Discover key notions about the history and production of wines and cheeses
- Learn the main rules about wine and food pairing
- Practice pairing with 5 Gaillac wines and 5 cheeses from the Tarn department

- The organisation and animation by Anne Gruau, Sommelier & WSET level 4 certified.
- Products representative of their terroir and selected with care. To promote local know- how, Anne suggests a selection of Gaillac wines and terroir products from the Tarn region.
- A complete booklet including all about the workshop, along with tasting sheets and the list of wines tasted.
